Brev’maculture is the way of life at Le Brévedent
“L’art de vivre!”
Ecotourism is becoming a must in our beautiful world… Sustainable tourism focused on discovering nature while respecting the environment and local culture, this is our proposal! Each of the projects carried out at Le Brévedent is designed to have the least impact on our environment and thus to welcome you in the most beautiful setting!
Permaculture
Permanent farming at nature’s pace.
Preserve biodiversity and understand the virtues of the nature that surrounds us.
Become a camper-picker! The vegetable gardens are accessible to all.
The rules of permaculture: always leave 1/3 of the plant. Using or sharing what you pick is the beginning of change, a new collaborative consumption!
Ecology at Le Brévedent
More than a trend, a way of life …
120 families live together when the campsite is full, so reducing our environmental impact is not an option!
Here are our commitments:
- Efficient energy consumption
- The recovery of rainwater for the use of washing machines
- Organic and local products, in all our services
- Seasonal dishes in the restaurant cooked with local and/ or organic products
- A zero waste approach such as a water fountain at the shop or reusable boxes for take-away pizzas
- The use of environmentally friendly cleaning products
- Permaculture, the Brév’maculture
- Minimised lighting for the protection of nocturnal animals and the starry sky
- Recycling of objects and materials
- Our actions for biodiversity
- Environmental awareness to encourage action
- The proposal of electric bikes
- The presence of hives to promote natural pollination
- Assured selective sorting
- The on site collection and treatment of bio-waste to minimise transport and reuse compost in the garden
Living together
At Le Brévedent, all the campsite’s activities are offered for everyone so that each person can enjoy a family holiday and open up to the world around them if they wish. Thus, the camper-gatherer can share his pick of the day with his neighbors, his tips, or why not a bottle of cider. Also, at reception, the carpool board facilitates exchanges and connections with other campers. Finally, the serene and welcoming atmosphere that emerges from the site means simply sharing good times: Le Brévedent is a family story, four generations have enjoyed building and sharing the Brev’maculture, and the fifth generation is already working on it !!
