Grandes Voiles du Havre
The Grandes Voiles du Havre will make its grand return from July 4th to 7th, 2025, transforming Le Havre into a home port for some of the most majestic sailing ships in the world. This event will mark the start of the first stage of the 2025 Tall Ships’ Races, a prestigious race organised by Sail Training International.
Program:
- Sailboat visits: Some forty large sailboats, such as the Belem, the Morgenster and the Thalassa, will be moored in the Paul Vatine and Eure basins. The public will have the opportunity to come on board and discover these exceptional vessels.
- Entertainment and festivities: concerts, shows, team parades and a closing fireworks show will punctuate these four days of maritime celebration.
- Sea parade: The highlight will be the great parade of ships in the bay of Le Havre, offering a breathtaking spectacle to spectators.
As part of the Tall Ships’ Races, a hundred young people, called “apprentice sailors”, will have the unique opportunity to board these sailboats for one stage of the race, including the one connecting Le Havre to Dunkirk. This program aims to promote maritime training and cultural exchange among participants. Les Grandes Voiles du Havre 2025 is set to be a major maritime event, celebrating the naval heritage and offering an unforgettable experience for sea enthusiasts and the general public.
