The eco-friendly washing-up cake!
For several years, I have been making a solid and 100% natural washing-up product called “Cake vaisselle”.
We put it at your disposal free of charge in the dishwashing areas and rental accommodation on the campsite. We believe this is a sure way to limit our ecological impact …
Since during the season many of you ask us for the recipe for the “Cake vaisselle”: Here it is online!!
Grab your pans, it only takes a few minutes!
I would like to sincerely thank Justine who made me discover HER recipe for the “Cake vaisselle” and many other magic potions. For those of you who are curious, you can find it here: monptipote.com
THE RECIPE:
The Ingredients:
Equipment :
Be careful! Sodium Coco Sulfate is a (natural) product, potentially irritating to the respiratory tract as a powder, and the skin when heated. Do not hesitate to wear a mask and gloves if necessary.
Pour the Sodium Coco Sulfate into the water bath, add the water and mix.
Crush the mixture with the pestle over low heat.
Once the mixture is homogeneous and all the little balls are crushed (about 10 minutes) remove from the heat.
Add the bicarbonate of soda and mix again. (I do it by hand)
Form a large ball and transfer to the container.
Pack well and flatten.
It’s ready to go!
Wet a tawashi or a cloth, and rub it on the dish-washing cake, it foams!
Personal Tips:
Avoid using a sponge for nature (otherwise it works with the dish-washing cakes).
Do not use dish brushes directly on the dish cake or it will wear out faster.
Empty standing water after use.
If you need to soak a dish, it’s simple, just put a little water in the bowl (of the dish cake), and pour the soapy water into the dish…
